Positioning
A clearer account of the business, who it serves and why the work is worth choosing.
WEBSITE RESCUE / 05
Website Rescue is a focused brand, messaging and website rebuild for established businesses whose online presentation no longer matches the quality of their work.
THE PROBLEM / 05.1
Owners are usually focused on operating the business. The original website may have been perfectly adequate when it was made, while reputation and referrals carried the work forward.
Then services change, expectations rise and the gap becomes harder to ignore. The site still loads, but it no longer explains the business clearly or gives a prospective client confidence in the next step.
The business may not need reinvention. The website needs to catch up.FIT / 05.2
The strongest fit is a credible business with good work behind it and a website that no longer communicates that standard.
STRONG FIT
A DIFFERENT PATH
Some Website Rescue engagements begin when Crypto Technology identifies a strong business being let down by its current website. Direct approaches and inbound enquiries are assessed on the same basis: fit, usefulness and a clearly defined scope.
WHAT CHANGES / 05.3
A clearer account of the business, who it serves and why the work is worth choosing.
Services, proof and next steps organised around how prospective clients make decisions.
Stronger copy and visual hierarchy using genuine proof, reviews and project material.
A faster, clearer mobile experience with a direct path to enquiry.
Sound metadata, search foundations and a site that is easier to maintain.
SCOPE / 05.4
The engagement is written down, managed directly and limited to defined revision rounds. The aim is an approved website in production, not an open-ended design exercise.
CORE ENGAGEMENT
Light brand refinement is not a complete rebrand.
WHEN REQUIRED
A CMS is added when regular publishing makes it useful, not by default.
PROCESS / 05.5
Review the current website, the business, its audience and the immediate commercial problem.
Agree on positioning, structure, scope, content requirements and visual direction.
Design, write, develop and test the new website against the approved direction.
Handle migration, redirects, forms, analytics, deployment and final checks.
INVESTMENT / 05.6
Every Website Rescue project is scoped and priced individually. The quote reflects the website, content, integrations and level of brand refinement required.
Optional requirements such as additional pages, full copywriting, a CMS, content migration or integrations are agreed as part of that scope. Ongoing care is optional. There is no compulsory marketing retainer. Third-party costs are disclosed separately.
CONTROL / 05.7
A rebuild should leave the business in control of the essentials and clear about what happens after launch.
The domain should remain under the client’s control.
Hosting, care and recurring third-party costs are explained before approval.
Deliverables, revision rounds and responsibilities are recorded upfront.
Handover is not deliberately obstructed. Ongoing care remains optional.
Client-specific work and assets are handled under the project agreement. Reusable internal frameworks remain Crypto Technology intellectual property.
DETAILS / 05.8
Usually not. Website Rescue can refine typography, colour and the use of existing assets. A new identity is only included where the business genuinely needs it and it is separately scoped.
Yes. Existing material is reviewed for quality, consistency and suitability. Useful assets are retained and gaps are identified before the rebuild begins.
Yes, where that is part of the agreed delivery model. The editing approach should match how often the content changes and who will maintain it.
Not by default. A CMS is useful when the business regularly publishes projects, case studies, articles, team profiles, service updates or locations. Otherwise it can add cost and maintenance without adding much value.
Yes. The rebuilt site can launch on the existing domain. Domain access, DNS changes and redirects are planned before launch.
Yes. The useful content and assets can be carried forward while the structure, copy, design and technical foundation are rebuilt.
Hosting and deployment can be arranged as part of the project. The platform, recurring cost and access arrangements are explained before launch.
Yes. Ongoing care can be added where it is useful, but Website Rescue does not require a compulsory marketing retainer.
No. The work includes sound technical foundations, metadata and content structure. Rankings and lead volumes depend on factors beyond the website, so neither can be guaranteed.
Access to the current site and domain, a clear account of the services, useful brand files, existing photography and the business knowledge needed to check the copy.
A modest commerce requirement may be possible if it is clearly defined. Larger stores, marketplaces, membership platforms and custom applications belong in a separately scoped systems or full-stack engagement.
SITE ASSESSMENT / 05.9
If the business has moved beyond the website representing it, send the current website address and a short account of what needs to change. Each enquiry is reviewed. Work proceeds where the business, problem and scope are a strong fit.
